Today I had a little marathon watching all three Jason Bourne movies in a row and they all fit together really well. I have to admit though that I wasn't a fan of the amount of steadicam used throughout the second and third movies, but enjoyed them nontheless. Infact, if I had to choose, it would be the third movie that would be my favorite. The story and conclusion and just the action is great and fun! This works in an American-made film, whereas the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace totally based itself off of the Bourne series which was a big mistake.
Anyway, just for fun, for those of you who liked and saw the films, which one is your favorite?

Myself, I chose The Bourne Supremacy.
Paul Greengrass took over brilliantly from Doug Liman and I felt his rooting the film in a real reality but retaining the complexity and satisfying action balance worked better than it did in the first film. I really enjoy The Bourne Ultimatum as well (especially set pieces like the train station, the New York car chase - I mean, when was the last time New York got a really good car chase!!!) but I felt that aside from finally answering Bourne's major questions and doing a neat timeline twist from the end of Supremacy it was suffering from pattern-itis. The cam work, the twisty-ness and the (to be expected) car chase. All of which were done brilliantly, but just also felt like the motions a tiny little bit. Plus I think the car chase in Supremacy was actually the best of the three! But yeah, the new Bond films really don't feel like Bond to me at all these days.

The last one is the only one I've seen all the way through. I really enjoyed it though, so it's my default favorite.

Yeah, they over-did it. That's the problem with American films, if there isn't action going on all the time, then people don't like it (for action movies). That's why even during the dialogue scenes it seemed a bit rushed. You are always on edge and never know what the heck could happen.
