Not sure if this would be the news Torchwood fans would all want to hear, or fans of the other show involved but hey, I saw it and thought I would put it out for any John Barrowman fans!

First the rumors of Torchwood developing a slightly more "American flavor" in the future and now Barrowman lands on Desperate Housewives.

Torchwood started great with its first season, was okay but not brilliant in its second and the third Children of Earth season was just utter pants.

I kinda thought the progressive killing off of the entire cast seemed an interesting direction for the show to take.

I didn't like Chrildren of earth at all. I tried really hard because I love John Barrowman but I just couldn't make myself like it. I understand completely why many people thought it was excellent but I couldn't bring myself to like it. I love seasons 1 and 2 though.

I fell off Torchwood, but I love Barrowman. My wife and I are Desparate Housewives devotees so I love this idea. It'll be the only chance my wife will have to ever see him. The only thing that could make this better is if his role involves him singing.

Children of Earth was good I thought till the end, points awarded for not going for a cop-out ending, but I was expecting a bit more.... umpth I guess for the solution, played out more like a weak Dr Who ending. As for Barrowman on Desperate Housewives, I'm sure my mum will enjoy it.
