Default Is STO worth buying an entire new computer?

For those who have already played the Beta STO,

I have been using Apple computers since 2003, and the only computers I have access to are Apple machines. However, the idiots in charge decided to release STO exclusively for Windows machines.

My response:

For those of you who participated in the Beta testing for STO, is it worth getting a separate Windows machine just so I can play STO? I mean, truth be told, I have no computer of my own (I always borrow my brother's Mac Mini or my dad's Power Mac) so this would technically be my computer for ALL of my stuff, and that could aid me in persuading my parents to get it for me ("Hey Dad, Patrick has a computer, why don't you let me have one?"). But I am also fully content to use other people's Mac machines for the rest of my life. The deciding factor is whether STO is worth getting. What do you guys think?

NOTHING is worth buying an entirely separate computer. It's kind of funny that you ask, because Apple computers are considered to be superior to PC's, but was is superiority if you can't do the things you want on them??

Nope. Save your money. The game just isn't worth buying whole new computer to play.

Even though my system can handle the minimal system requirements. I am waiting to build a new system before I play STO.
