Indeed a sad passing.

Her Ophelia in Olivier's Hamlet was the first I saw. She was fantastic. She wasn't too bad with Richard Burton in The Robe either and then there was her appearance in the Drumhead from TNG. Damn good actress.

Yes. Damn good actress, indeed, an beautiful as well. I recently saw The Robe on TCM and was really taken by her beauty and was pleasantly surprised to find, when I Googled her, that she was the actress who'd made that Trek appearance.

I remember her in the role of Sister Falconer in Elmer Gantry. Rest in peace.

I was reading in another bio that when she was marrying Stewart Granger in 1950 Howard Hughes flew them both to some private place of his to get them married.

When she came back she found out that Hughes had bought her contract like she was 'a piece of meat' and she had to sue Hughes to get out of it in order to work in films for other studios!

My fav role of hers was in Guys and Dolls. She was good in The Drumhead too.

I remember doing my fellowship with a girl who reminded me of her (her back in the 50s that is). I thought I was complementing my friend when I said this, but for some reason, she thought I meant GENE Simmons. I was lucky she had a sense of humor.
