Default The Enterprise Incdent

What did you think of this episode from the third season? I think its another great episode from the third season besides All Our Yesterdays. Its also an episode you see Spock play a very dangerous game besides the incedent he did in The Menegre part 1 & 2 (had scenes from The Cage)from season 1. Spock also has a little rommance going on with the female Romulan Comander which Romulans are enimes of the Federation includng Vulcan's which is part of the Federation. But yet he takes the risk, and also almost risk's Kirk's life. Yet all this was part of plan to get the cloaking device, which both Kirk & Spock were part of to get for the Federation. But how Spock went about it to confess what Kirk did, and the things he did to betray Kirk and the Federation, and worse yet got into a liitle rommance, was that really the smart thing and locgical thing to do? I didnt think it was the smart way to get the cloaking device, but seemed the only way. What I'm wondering is did Spock really had feelings for the Romulan comander? Or was Spock, just playing tricks on her in order to distract her while Kirk snuck on board, descised as a Romulan to get the cloaking device and then go back to the Enterprise? Anyways its great episode and one of the best, so what do you think?

This is one of my favorite episodes. Never gets old for me. I love the espionage/intrigue angle.

And the Romulan commander doesn't hurt either.

He was supposed to manipulate her, but based on their last conversation (after she was imprisoned) it seems that he developed some genuine feelings for her in the process. Didn't he say something like "I hope we have shared something important"?

It may be that this encounter sparked Spock's interest in 'reunification'...

The episode was one of the best, for sure. But, the plot has shown up elsewhere, too, with the Romulan commander being the daughter of the Praetor.

I just re-read Killing Time, where Spock, in an alternate timeline created by the Romulans, must return with her to Romulus. Not a bad story, all things considered. And, I think there was another one where they met and she snubbed him, and perhaps another.....After a the first hundred ST books, they start running together.

Solid episode and one of the standouts of Year 3.
