I think they should forget rebooting Spiderman it won't work.

It really could go either way. I think the last one really put people off in terms of the movie franchise, so that might hurt it even being a reboot. However, if they promote it correctly and get somebody in there who really puts a new spin on it, then it might be a success. It also must have a great villain.

Marvel launched an "Ultimate" universe line of comics in 2000. They rebooted most of their main franchise in this alternate universe so they can have fresh stories with out worrying about what happened in the past much like the new Star Trek film.
