Default Engineering TOS or TMP

I don't know if this has already been discussed as I am new to this site, but what are peoples view on Engineering? I think that this has the potential to be the best looking set of all, but I have always been torn between TOS and TMP sets.

Due to the budget of TOS you could argue that we did not see all of the deck, including the core and yet in TMP we we introduced to a bigger and bolder set.

Does anybody have a view on this or am I asking for JJ to change the laws of physics?

TOS in front of the screen, TMP behind the screen. And my screen I mean the physical screen we see in TOS shots of engineering.
