Default Alan Dean Foster to write Star Trek sequel Novel

Found this article on Trekweb about the first new novel to appear set in the alternate universe.

There's also a little bit further down about the new Star Trek Comic which will fill in the 25 gap Nero spent waiting for Spock.

I don't know if these were known about but thought I'd post them anyway.

I thought his movie novelization was done very well, so have high hopes for a follow-up. Thanks for the link.

Well that's good news. I'm also glad to hear Foster is doing the sequel novel. He's a very good writer and a fan favorite.

There was comic that already came out regarding that 25 year gap that Nero was waiting for Spock. The comic is called Nero. The last issue came out about month or so ago, I should know I have all 4 issues. There were also comic called Spock Refelections, which were based on the prime universere and reflects on Spock's past. I have all those issues as well. Anyways I did hear about the releases of the Star Trek XI based novels which is based after the movie. Those are the books you are talking about right? I can't wait for those to come out. I'm curious to know what happened after the movie ended. It be the only thing we have until the sequel comes out which wont be until another few years or so. I absoutly loved the movie, and I'm ready for more.
