For my 40th, my best friend gave me an autographed photo of Chris Chambliss hitting THE home run in the bottom of the 9th in the pennant win over Kansas City in the 1976 ALCS, propelling the Yankees to their first World Series since 1962. OK, so they got swept by the Cincinati Reds, still, that pic was a really great and thoughtful gift and I reacted appropriately. To NY fans, it was an amazing moment.

Here: just look at how the fans mobbed the field. It was totally destroyed and Chris barely made it around the bases. I was 9 yrs old and I still remember it.

Any great sci-fi gifts I ever received were purchased by myself.
"Stop it? I'm counting on it."
"But not because you threaten me. I'll pay you because... it's my pleasure."

I have gotten lots of star trek stuff. But I guess The best one and got a happy reaction to was the first Trek Action figuer (William Ricker) My mother started it all. Playmates had just started to release the toys. My mother just new I liked Star Trek and she found the toy for me.
