I stumble upon that guy the other night. I HIGHLY suggest that you watch his Star Wars Episode I review. Pure genius!

[quote=buffs79;291309]1. I think that was intended to be more of a homage than a copy. Who's to say Khan was the only one to know about what she slugs could do. Or that there aren't similar creatures in the universe.
Sorry, that just sounds like a cope out. 2. The Narada's insides look nothing like the Schimitar. Need to rewatch both films, but they both looked similar to me. 3. The Remans and Shinzon wore very uniform, clean and shiny clothes. Nero's crew wore rags. So Remans have better fashion sense even though they can only see in the dark? Nice job J.J. 4. This is true, but Nero pulled it off better. And the mining, Shinzon was sent to a prison used for slave labor, while Nero actually mined for a career, with his own ship. Same difference, i think you just liked Star Trek 09 and didn't like Nemesis. As for destroying the Federation, isn't that when the inevitable goal of most Trek villains is? Sure, it's cliche, but it always seems to work. Not to mention motivation is different for both. Same goal, different motivation, again, same difference. |

Actually I think the Remans wore rags when we had the mining flashbacks. Of course, once they had taken over and they had installed themselves as leaders of Romulus......well, rags don't really say much in that department so they upgraded.
Nero and his crew were miners and were not actually planning to lead Romulus - plus all the good tailors were 129 years into the future. Plus, they are not military either so their clothing should in fact be less spiffing and shiny. They don't really need the bells and whistles of quality bespoke attire.

This was brilliant and very funny. I just missed hospital rounds to watch the whole thing!
