Default RIP Dan O'Bannon

Just heard this morning, Dan O'Bannon (Sgt. Pinback in Dark Star) has passed away. No details as of this posting. O'Bannon was also the writer/creator of the "Alien" franchise, the writer of "Blue Thunder" and the director of "Return of the Living Dead: Part I"

(He actually has a lot more to his resume, but these are the ones that popped into my head without looking.)

The guy was a great creator and writer. Everything he was involved in became a favorite of mine... hell, even that god-awful remake of "Invaders From Mars" had it's moments...
