Tori Amos always does a great show. Even when she's in larger venues, she makes it seem very intimate. I've been to her shows three times now, and I'll go back whenever I get the chance. (You can always tell people who have gone to a Tori concert: They act like they are in the afterglow of sex.)

Oh, and when I'm feeling like something silly, there's Weird Al. He gets all kinds of accolades about his parodies, but not that many people mention that he's a GREAT showman. All of his songs feature special effects with costume and lighting changes. They're just damned good fun.

Blue Man Group is much the same way, although they do seem to like twisting your head around a few concepts now and then.

I actually stopped going to concerts a long time ago--simply don't have time for 'em and it would cost me a fortune to see my favorite acts these days.

I was fortunate to see my favorite band of all time--Level 42--play at Wembley Stadium once during the '80s, and I've seen the Police, Tears For Fears, and Depeche Mode live. Saw a Duran Duran concert with excellent seats for free once.

But I saw U2 during the '90s Zoo TV tour--one of my last concerts--and it was one of those experiences I'll never forget: 55,000+ of us in Bush Stadium in Saint Louis with all the big high tech monitor screens and stage props all over the place, and it still felt intimate with certain songs...
Free your mind, and the rest will follow.

The Pet Shop Boys were AMAZING! Best concert I have been to I think!
