(Have we had this topic before?)

Gaila and the Sexyprise. For the same reasons, "if you'll pardon the Engineering parlance."

*Ahem* Anyway, there's Urban-McCoy and Nimoy-Spock, because they did such a great job at emulating the original actors' portrayals of the characters... Wait a sec.

There's also Simon Pegg's Scotty. Brilliant. Captain Pike as well. He kicked major tail. Aw hell, why bother? Everyone was great.

I definitely came away from the film much more enthusiastic about Uhura (Saldana notwithstanding!!) - and that genuinely surprised me.

Of course given her repositioned importance to Spock now it's not surprising in retrospect she got beefed up more but it still was a pleasant one.

Scotty--I liked the humor and everyman sensibility that Pegg brought to the role.

Chekov--I may be in the minority, but I loved Yelchin's accent and the youthful exuberance he brought.

McCoy--I said in another thread that Urban was channeling Kelley big time, IMO.

I preferred Simon Pegg's Scottish accent to James Doohan's Scottish accent.

Kaboom, I'm going to crib your tag, "the Sexyprise", also for the same reasons! And I agree, everyone was great...I even liked Keenser!!!
