I'm wondering if anyone else is of the opinion that this trailer shows a lack of dazzling action sequences? I find space battles tired, old school, blase and not counting them. I see only one and that's the platform drill sequence. TRANSFORMER 2, as well as most summer blockbusters, have several. If TREK is to compete, it will have to do better.

I don't like the big monster thing on the snow planet chasing Kirk. Too Star Wars for me. JMO

The scene with Kirk and the Orion laying in bed together (at least I think that is who she is). I would rather that had been left out of the trailer. However, at least parents can be forewarned that there might be a sexual situation of some kind in the movie. Even if it isn't on the crazy side as Chris Pine mentioned in some interview a while back.
