I like your mini-reviews, short and to the point. The differentiation between Trekker and non-Trekker ratings is a great idea, multiple perspectives are always helpful.

If I may add a little detail about Cochrane, your view that he was idolized over the time which lead to a biased TOS Cochrane (perhaps the historical recreations from "Savage Curtain" also vary from their real counterparts ?) is perfectly valid. Another view is that Cochrane, like the rest of humankind, changed after the first contact with the Vulcans, after all he did move to a tropical island not but continued to work on warp drive.

Thanks!

Interesting points about Cochrane. The historical representations of the characters in "The Savage Curtain" are certainly pulled from the imagined versions in the minds of the characters. Look at how Kahless is portrayed as evil (most likely from Kirk's mind or the view of Starfleet at that point).

Getting back to Cochrane, I think that perhaps the version seen in "Metamorphosis" is an ultra-rejuvenated look without the effects of the nuclear war, alcoholism, etc.

Or the compaion recreated him as he allways wanted himself to look like.
