i think eventually we'll see Klingons again but yes, we need a villain whose danger isn't superior technology but a cold and unrelenting nature. Khan or Chang.

How about a Starfleet captain takes his starship and intends to start a war with, let's say for the sake of argument, the Gorn because he feels they are responsible for several attacks on Federation planets and outposts. In reality, he and his crew are under the influence of an unknown alien entity that starts wars to feed off the massive amounts of souls lost in the conflicts. Kirk and co. must find the starship, and neutralize it before they can start the war.

I did not like Enterprise Gorn.
Gorn are cool, but hard to make for the movie. CGI just would not work. A new species as main baddie could be good, or very very bad if their not liked. Evil humans would be okay, for sub plot. We need something more for the main story. Something not easily thought of. Probably a story with no enemy.
