I've played it in arcades, and honestly, it's not that great. But, it's always fun to find a Star Trek game.

If you want a PC version, "Elite Force" is not that much different. The arcade is basically just you roaming the ship, blowing up aliens. At least, from what I've seen that's all it is. They have one at a fun park I go to all the time in my hometown of Charleston, South Carolina.

I have Elite Force and can't stand it. The gameplay is sub-par and the multiplayer is horrendous.

Elite Force II was better than the first one.

I actually prefer the first one, it wasn't half bad, and you could explore most of the ship on your own free time with the expansion pack. Elite Force II was too mission-oriented, and there was never an expansion pack released, so you never got to see the rest of the ship, only what the missions allowed.

And the spacewalk mission was so terribly bad... it was supposed to be the highlight and I was looking forward to it, but it was a real disappointment.
But it was nice to see SFA!

You could explore 1701-E in EF2 as well. Elite Force 1 also had a very detailed Constitution class interior including the engine room which looked small compared to on TOS.
