Angry No 2-disc Special Edition DVD available here!

There will be no 2-disc DVD edition in Germany. They only have a limited steelbox edition in special stores, but the general media stores will only have the 1-disc DVD and the 2-disc Blu-ray

Ever thought about buying a multi-region DVD player? I hear they're pretty popular outside of Region 1 areas exactly because of that and also because sometimes movies get released much later in other formats.

I bought a 2-disc Special Edition of The Chronicles of Riddick a few years back even though it was only available in Region 2 format. I can't watch it on my DVD player but I can watch it on my PC.

Not exactly, you are allowed 4-5 region switches before your drive locks into whatever was the last one, or so the computer makers say.

One should be able to watch NTSC DVDs over here, unless one has an old CRT school monitor or the wrong software. But VLC usually plays everything and if it really does not work, there is probably some NTSC to PAL conversion software.

My DVD creation software Pinnicale can do that. I can make NTSC PAL and vice versa.

paramount.de features a 2-disc version, but treknews.de wrote that Paramount confirmed several times that there will be no 2-disc version in stores.
