I haven't seen those epis but I used to watch Cold Case on Sunday nights. John Billingsly played a serial killer. One of the better epis.

We'd actually discussed the Wil Wheaton episode here.

OMG... And here I was thinking that this is probably the last ST actor I would be able to watch as a serial killer.... I've only seen him play loveable characters and I loved him as Phlox. I don't think I could watch that episode, it would be too disturbing.

Ah! Thanks for pointing that out. But I hadn't started to watch the show back then so it was kind of hard to give an informed opinion.

Wheaton and Philips as serial killers? ...Interesting.

You know that could work, because I imagine they'd both be quite good at playing the kind of otherwise quiet, unassuming types who could potentially get away with it because they're not the kind that anyone would suspect.

Don't know if that's the take on their characters, but I reckon they could pull it off.

OMG, they did it again... Last night I was watching one of the last episodes of Criminal Minds, Season 4, and this time around it was John Billingsley. He was playing a pedophile who raped and murdered young boys... It was odd because he didn't have the attitude of a serial killer at all. Pedophile maybe but not a killer. I thought he was going to pee his pants when Hotchner interviewed him.

Seems like CBS has a thing for using actors who were or are a part of other TV shows that belong to the same network.
