I liked the con-artists who pretended to be Janeway et al. They were very cunning.

I liked them too.
I think that story was a great idea.

The villian I liked least the most.
The one that did more of nothing than nobody else.
The one the moment you saw there would talk and more talk.
The one that was one-big-stall extravaganza....

The Borg Queen.

They had to talk every time the Queen and the Borg turned up - otherwise Super-Voyager would whup their tails before they could start the whole 'We are the Borg' line.

That's one way of looking at it.

Unimtrix Zero is what killed the Borg for me, having Janeway, Torres and Tuvok go 'undercover' as Borg just killed it as a season cliff hangar for me and was the final nail in the coffin for the Borg as a scary ruthless enemy.

To help Horatio with his turd polishing though, I really enjoyed Unity and Scorpian and thought they made good use of the Borg.

Indeed - voluntarily undergoing the process (combined with the bad robot style acting when they 'pretended' to be assimilated) was abysmally done. It was like assimilation was nothing more than a dose of the flu the good ol' EMH can fix in a day.

And it cheapened the ordeal Picard went through.

Voyager (as usual) was completely flippant with the whole idea.

I'm talking First Contact.
Voyager did far more with the Borg Queen than that movie.

While I've never been a fan of Voyager continuing the abysmal zombie borg creation of Berman when it transfered to the big screen, I also can't say much for Unimatrix Zero, the last episode...but Scorpion was ...descent.

People blame Voyager but First Contact started the descent...and FC is most Trek Fans favorite movie because all things Borg sell. And well...that's fans, FANATIC, they want what they want and, they got it.
