I have rarely been less inclined to watch a film based on the marketing campaign than I am for G.I. Joe.

Yeah I can't help but think that myself - Eiffel tower destroyed (tick for both films), European cities there for mere destruction (tick both films), a team of crack heroes with top notch equipment to use (tick both films).

Of course we also have Stephen Sommers directing, a man who makes Michael Bay look like a genius.

All in all - not a tempting proposal.

But the reviews I've seen early vary from the horrendous to the enthusiastic. I will eventually see it, but unless there's nothing else to choose from, it's not likely to be in a cinema.
