Although Scotty ended up having to stop the E being pulled into the atmosphere of various planets just as much.

Trip was by far the best because he had this grass roots mechanic thing going on and was more of a personal friend to archer which gave his character a unique feel. It felt like he really had to work damn hard to keep the NX-01 from not falling apart all the time!

You have to watch the series to understand what im talking about. Its like he embodied all the best of scotty but was more friendly and slightly rougher round the edges. The romance story arc was dumb and his death was the most stupid thing to include and the end of the series, other than that a great performance.

I prefer to think that Trip did not die and it was just a ruse.

I thought I'd already answered this, but then I realised it was on a different (but similar) thread.

Anyway - Scotty.
A genius at his own job, he can also do Captain Kirk's job too when he has to. And he's cute :-)
