I think they should write a Zardoz-Trek crossover story and Shatner can be the big floating godhead.....

Uh... He's nearly 80.

Just break out the TOS & Movie DVD's. He's immortalized there - and will always be Capt. Kirk in the original ST Uni.

Personally, I think it was a damned-if-you-do and damned-if-you-don't situation to even have Leonard Nimoy.
They really should have had Quinto in old dude make up if the story was that tied to time travel.

Which tells me it wasn't. The whole thing was to have Leonard in it so it could be handed off to a new generation of actors portraying the characters.

We have that now.
