One of the reasons why DS9 was "slighted" in the Destiny saga was because it was a few years behind what was going on in TNG and TTN (Titan). Still, they were able to sneak in Ezri Dax and a few post-TV series characters as former DS9 crewmembers.

Pocket Books wants to bring all of the 24th-Century series on the same page now in preparation for next year's big crossover, the Typhon Pact...
