What i heard was that the movie was gonna feature the Smallville versions of these heroes. That being the case, the casting list you give is wrong. Tom Welling is Superman, there's no Batman, etc.

Meanwhile Sci-fi Now posted an article suggesting the sequel to Superman Returns may not feature Routh, but some other actor, Zachary Quinto, maybe. Or the guy that played Jesus.

It seems Superman is getting the Hulk style reboot already. They want a cheaper sequel that's more action oriented.

The problem with Superman Returns was although it was an astounding love letter to the Donner films, it really couldn't stand on it's own.
Really, I think Superman needs a reboot, much as Batman was.
And by tackling the DC universe heroes seperately first, they can then bring them together in a Justice League film.

Oh, and jerhanner, Apache Chief and the Wonder Twins were "Superfriends" only, I believe.
As it is, I'm still interested to see what Ryan Reynolds does with Green Lantern.
That, and we still need a decent Wonder Woman film.
This also begs another question; what should the Justice League roster be?
And should all members have their own seperate introductory film first?
Would anyone want to lay down $10 for a Martian Manhunter solo film first?

Bad idea for a movie. It would be like Fantastic 4 only worse. That is.. unless you are only looking at dollar signs. Then its a tossup.

Not in comics continuity as far as I know; and that's law; of course, since Crisis On Infinite Earths, they probably don't exist anymore anyway; so it's kinda moot.

Except unlike Fantastic Four, these are headlining characters from a studio who has a slightly better track record with comic properties; unlike Fox, who seems to **** on anything it gets it's grubby little hands on.
By the way, I say slightly, because I still remember Batman & Robin....and it still burns my soul to this day.

Final Crisis. Batman took out Darkseid and Darkseid fried Batman at the same time. He's dead, his empty costume is now on display in the Batcave right next to Jason Todd's old costume, Alfred is in mourning and Dick and Tim are wondering what to do next.
