Ya know Green Lantern just never really did it for me. There's just something about making a big green hammer, among other things, shoot forth from his ring that takes me back to ....oh say the battle between Eddie Valiant and Judge Doom in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".

I'm thinking of Jim Carey in The Mask. That big hammer is stupid.
I think that they'll need to handle GL more like they've dealt with Christian Bale's Batman. Darker, more realistic, gritty, and tough.
With what they can CGI it could be pretty amazing.

Ryan Reynolds - I thought he was supposed to be signed up for Deadpool. Which is a different studio. Wonder how that plays out. I was hoping more for Bradley Cooper getting the role. I've known his work since he starred on Alias and he's had a good year with The Hangover.

I'd guess they would go with an alien technology explanation for the ring. But, as it's one of those things that appears to be able to do whatever it wants it still runs the risk of ending up as a stupid 'does everything' item.

They might want to limit it's abilities a bit.
