I have socks older than you...not pairs of socks, mind you because I can't keep a pair of socks intact for more than a week....but socks.

I used to think that a 50 year old person was soooo old. Not anymore! I'm glad I made it, and I'm glad that my health seems to be improving. When I turned 50, I almost died from blood clots. Now I have 10 vertabrae fused in my neck, they can't fuse anything else, so now, I am getting better! I am learning how to deal with pain better, and I am doing well with it.
I'm with ya...I remember realizing that I would be the oh, so ancient age of 41 when the year 2000 came...I'm so glad your health is improving as you get older....that's so nice to hear! Remember what Spock says: pain is a thing of the mind...(okay, there's a reason he's fictional...)

Yep. Know how you feel. I have chronic arthritis in the c7 vertebrae of the neck. Also have a frozen shoulder for the last eight months, it's a lot better than it use to be. Now I have this bloating problem, which they can't seem to identify. Also found out my esophagus does not work the way it should so what goes down gives me indigestion and sometimes reflux.

I do my best to ignore the conditions and get on with life. Luckily I work from home and can take a break when I need to.

Oh dear... I thought the drop-off after 40 was bad... isn't it wierd how that middle-aged doppleganger hides in our mirrors?

Many happy returns of the day!
