I've always felt that the BEST of Trek was on the television. The movies always seemed more like a cash grab. I would rather have a series and NO movies than have movies and NO series. Since most movies are only 2-3 hours long they do not spend enough time on good story telling. I really don't care about high dollar effects. I'd rather have TV quality effects and great thoughtful stories.

Please, NO cartoons!!!

Yeah I would normally say TV, but I've found them to be equally diminishing returns of late.

It's a tough choice. But I'd rather they had time to develop a really good, solid series that was fresh and new, intelligent, fun and exciting than try to make a deadline for premiering.

While they're doing that - they can bring out another movie or two.

You realize now that you've all but guaranteed that the next Trek series WILL be a cartoon, haven't you?
