I'm working, mostly. Tonight I might be setting off some fireworks, even if they aren't exactly legal in NY...

I'm not gonna do anything special for the 4th of July, just watch TV with my parents and watch our neighbors set off fireworks...and maybe watch South Park with my dad.

Haha... we had some excitement. We live on a farm, so we can get away with shooting off fireworks near the city. We had two mortars and put both on a ply-wood board angled away from us. I had the brilliant idea of tying the wicks together so they'd go off at the same time. So, twice this worked with spectacular results, but the third time one of the tubes got knocked over before it could fire. It shot maybe 40feet away near the corn field before exploding, and it was quite amazing, albeit dangerous! I had never been "inside" a firework before, and I was impressed

My aunt set off some fireworks and frightened the snot out of my dogs. We had a great meal: Charcoal grilled burgers, shrimp, hot dogs with homemade relish and mustard ooh man! It was great, until I had to go to work, then it pretty much sucked.

I just grilled out with the kids, was going to go watch the fireworks but got almost there and it starts pouring down rain. So turned around, the kids were disappointed about it. Found out that the city shot them off anyways, but almost everyone had left. The ones that stayed said that they couldn't see them thru the rain tho.

Well, my GF's grandmum's b-day is on the 4th; so we went over there for b-day/festivities; which mainly involved piddley fireworks, scrabble, and.....not much else....oh wait, I was fed. :P

I'm from New Zealand so nothing special of course.
Or actually... I had to do a thing in Christchurch for the Museum Studies course I'm doing which was over the last week or so. So maybe "nothing special" isn't quite true. And even the next day (Jul 5th) which was Jul. 4th in America I was still doing the course. ^_^ Catching the bus back down south in about an hour and a half. Will probably take over five hours. eek!

I plotted the re-taking of the colony with my fellow Englishmen.
