I've heard of Federation Day. mentioned by Commander Riker. (I believe)
Intresting Idea...

I'm really okay with the delay though.

As long as this will make the film better, and the filmmakers swear that it will (they say the delay will improve the special effects, and i'm all about that!), i'm all for it. But don't keep moving it, please. One move is fine, but do it once too often and you'll kill interest in the film among non-hardcore fans. We now have the perfect date, Federation day. Let's leave it at that.

If the date does keep moving, then we need to worry that the movie may not be so good. But from what J.J. said (i think it was his interview) Paramount loved what they were seeing on the dailys.

I'm not sure where people keep coming up with the idea that TREK's release date is "moving again." I've seen nothing to support this recurring rumor.

Source, anyone?

More time for rendering WILL definitely give the FX a better finish.
You're talking about majo gigaquads of information to rend scenes...Even more than was necessary for episode one. For all the teams under each team to get the time they need will make a difference you can see.

Some people just expect the worse and just start random rumors. Which then gets other people upset. That is why I said "IF" in my previous post, I do not want to get any one second guessing.
