Oh yeah I'm in complete agreement. That's why I feel if it only costs a few lunches to figure out this person isn't really the sort of friend STV wants around then he got off easy. There are harder ways to find out some people suck.

Thanks for all the tips, guys. I'll keep on asking for my money until I get it. Hell with anything else.

sound familiar? (You might have to save the image, and then magnify it...hopefully it'll be fairly clear when you do)

What a moocher!

I fully never expect to be paid back.
I only lented money once and got it back after asking like ten times, never will do it again. Unless it's a close friend who is in trouble, but then it probably works the other way around and you ask whether you could help him or her.

I've been lucky, so far...most of my friends are usually like..."I've got this, guys; your money's no good here." I usually don't go to lunch, etc. , unless it is a large group and I am invited when the idea comes up. But then, most of my friends are people I have known for a long time, and they also know that if they need it, I will do what I can for them. I usually manage to pay for myself, even if the group tells me not to bother; but once in a while, I let them pick it up, even though I always have the money. I never say yes to an invite unless I am sure I can pay my way, just in case something comes up.
