hey new here

glad to see martok getting love, he was a really cool unique klingon reminded me a little of the classic guys and the new

he also was unconventional in that he rose from the very bottom despite having a mark against him from a dahar master

he was also a very competent commander one that seemed to be able to put aside his own personal desires for duty and i liked that he didn't even want to become head of state

the only mark i got against the guy is when he knew gowron was screwing him but even so out of loyalty he did nothing -which in a way is still kind of respectable

he's a very cool character i wish we saw more of him

Martok is awesome. He's the only Klingon (aside from Worf, who doesn't count as he's in Starfleet) that we see the DS9 crew forming a close relationship with. They went beyong the politics of their governments and machinations, and were just good friends--like when Martok and Sisko make the bet on a barrel of bloodwine over who sets foot on DS9 first.

Martok was one of my favorite characters in Star Trek. Gruff, idealistic, loyal, and above all honorable...

Great men do not seek power...they have it thrust upon them.
