Dench is a dreadful actress.
Hopkins first time out as Lecktor was good, but not as good as Brian Cox in Manhunter. his other two outings were tripe (though I don't blame him entirely - a great villain is hard to come by). nothing else stands out except REMAINS OF THE DAY but everybody was great in that. we can put that down to a terrific story and great writing seeing as even Hugh Grant couldn't muck it up.

no Hopkins, Dench and Stewart are over rated. there are far better actors out there.
Now don't hold back, tell us how you really feel....rofl! Well on this, I think we'll have to agree to disagre.

I didn't say that at all. I said they weren't as bad as you made them out to be.

absolutely, matey.

I for one would not like a world where everybody agrees with me. that happen before and I won't soon forget how that ended

but the views I expressed were not "opinions", but rather my "beliefs". I haven't had an "opinion" since I found out what Dirty Harry thought of them

A blockbuster just would be a job, the bigger the movie the bigger the money.
But theatre and Shakespeare are his passion.

Exactly, you can't compare Shakespeare's greatest characters to playing Professor X in the least.

And if he wanted to be in blockbusters, he wouldn't have decided to leave California, relocate to Britain and go back to the theatre he started from.
