Actually this is a real possibility. With 47 ships destroyed the Klingons are weaker than they should be. If a Romulan is identified as the culprit this will undoubtedly lead to hostilities. Since Romulan technologiy was advanced by an alliance with the Klingons, this will have a knock on effect. I think the next film should focus on Klingon relations and throw the Orions and/or Gorn in for good measure.

Please, no. We had 15 years of the Klingons being our "friends." I want a good ol' fashioned Cold War (updated to reflect either the current Russo-American tensions or the current Sino-American relationship), with treachery, a proxy war or two, and Stalinist "we will bury you" rhetoric.

The first scene I would like to see in the next movie would have the Enterprise come upon the Botany Bay and a computer malfunction occurs on the Enterprise which causes torpedo's to fire on the botany Bay and destroying it. They fix the problem and continue on to the mission.

I'd like to see "Q", I was actually thinking Q could have been in this movie as the "disturber" of time. It doesn't have to be Lancie though. But some one funny with a bone to pick on Kirk, maybe he could sock him in the nose like Sisco.

Why bother blowing up Vulcan and setting up an alternate timeline, if all you are going to do is rehash old stories about old villains?
