I've found a few pics of the Kelvin Communicator & Phaser props and they look like updates of the classic TOS designs.
Does anyone have a top and front view of the Kelvin Phaser? (or orthographics? That would be awesome!) Thanks!! (Need that "Art of Star Trek XI" book, guys! Seriously!) |

Was the Kelvin Phaser shown on screen (viewing #5)? It looks cool except for the brass cylinder on the back. Love the communicator.

From where did you get those pics? I like the Kelvin phaser and communicator more than the Pike/Kirk E ones. A lot more! There're closer in look to the original TOS equipment, and more rugged looking. Yeah, I want my Art of, Making of, Equipment of, Ships of, Starfleet and Technical manuals!!!

Found a source
http://startrekauction.blogspot.com/...-arclight.html I'll open a new thread, because it includes much more than only Kelvin designs.

TMBeastie - Scavenged the pics from here...
http://startrekpropauthority.blogspo...e-exhibit.html and here http://startrekauction.blogspot.com/...-arclight.html and yeah put me down for those books too. (And if they don't make them, maybe we'll need to.) Jim in St. Louis - I know the communicator had screen time (Kirk's mom), but if the phaser did, it was probably on Cap. Roubau's hip. NCC-73515 - Yeah found that one, :-) you must have posted that as I was writing. Thanks! Last edited by Baxart : 06-05-2009 at 10:04 AM. |
