The article says that they had a so-called Star Trek "expert" who would pour over the designs and keep them in check. Apparently he/she wasn't doing a very good job of it. Must not have been much of an expert, IMO.

Did anyone notice that Kirk's bike had no spokes in its wheels? In fact, its wheels weren't attached to the rest of the bike at all?
