Default Please Confirm or Deny: Abrams in Recent "Sci-Fi" Mag?

Hi there.

Does anyone know if J.J. Abrams has appeared in a recent issue of "Sci-Fi" mag? If so, is there anyway to see the article?

I ask because someone is making this claim, which seems a little "taken out of content," if not made up.

It goes as follows.

Quote:
I just recently went to my local book store and picked up the sci-fi magazine, so I'd assume it was the current one. I don't have a direct quote....
It goes on:

Quote:
....Abrams commented, saying that the original cast was not important.
This was twice this poster had made this claim. The first time they were all about that and went into some spiel about how they are "Hollywood Icons" and yada. It's just funny, if they stand back and think about if, if the original cast was not important to J.J., why is one and at one time possibly two of them in the movie!? In fact why make a movie regarding those original characters?

I just want to clarify what the article said as I'm not sure that poster understand what was said, or if they are just making it up. It just doesn't make sense and really doesn't follow in line with what the producers or J.J. have been saying all along.

Thanks Guys.

I don't have the issue in-hand, but the online blurb about the April edition doesn't mention anything about interviewing Abrams:
