Trelane e.g. played with the humans like many children play and torture bees or ants. When his parents came they were angry and you see that it was just him and his race wasn't that evil.

I once wrote a paper (in college) comparing Trelane to God. I think the "kid with a toy" view we have of Trelane could be applied to God in the Hebrew Testament (at first, he's there all the time, walking among them...then he gets distant, then he gets annoyed)....I've always described Star Trek V as "They find God, don't like him so nuke him"...

Ok, I can buy that about Trelane, but what about the others I mentioned? They did not have that issue.

Eliza-

But the "god" in Trek 5 was just a manelvolent alien (again) it was just using Sybok to get him free. he was just a prisoner (admitdly a powerful one) try to escape.
