Default Thought it was a cameo but no cigar

During the shipyard scene when Kirk buzzes up in his motorcycle to do his impromptu enlistment with Pike in Starfleet, as he is boarding a shuttle a "shipyard worker" quips "nice ride" and Kirk throws him the keys, which he catches in his helmet.

That scene drove me crazy because I was sure that this actor was doing a cameo from some other role in the ST universe. In fact, I was sure it was James Cromwell who played Zefram Cochrane in First Contact....

However, on reviewing the credits, it turned out to be Bob Clendenin, who bears a striking resemblance to Cromwell...

Maybe "shipyard worker" is great grandson of Cochrane.... Stranger things have happened.
