Well they're always well covered every year and everyone at least sort of pays attention to them, so I guess they're kind of relevant in terms of pop culture. I don't normally watch them but I usually know who won what.

Apparently they haven't been as good in recent years.

Star Trek was released too close to the MTV Movie Awards for this year. It isn't nominated for anything.

Next year it will be though.
