I've never seen a movie more than once, even past Trek films, so seeing it this many times amazes even me.

Same! Well, I think there was one movie that I saw twice because I was forced to but that was years ago and I don't even remember what movie it was.

I see that Star Treks rein at the top was very short lived. No 1 in the USA for 2 weeks, only 1 week in the UK before being blown out of the water by Angles and Demons.

Two weeks as the most-watched film in the USA is a mighty big achievement for any film in this day and age I went to the film again last weekend, and it was very close to a full house - despite the fact that the marketing was never that big or pervasive in my part of the world. While Trek mightn't be #1 any more, it's still holding its own pretty well.

On average, most summer blockbusters only top the charts for a week and then get replaced.

It's actually no reflection on the popularity of the film - just how summer season works on average.
