Ehm, they have just created a new Enterprise for this movie. The "refit" story from TMP was just an in-universe explanation for the new ship ... which interestingly everyone bought while the canonited b*tch about alternate reality explanation .

How true, just proves people with all ways find something to complain about while at the same time contradicking themselves.

Now to the "new refit" I think it looks interesting, still not a bit fan of the fat nacelles.

she does look interesting. though i do like the nacelles on the new refit. i wonder if kirk will like his new chair on the bridge
