No indeed the tribbles could not beat the Klingons. That's why they called it "the great tribble hunt!". Many tribbles knew what it meant to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day I can tell you...

The Klingons would eat the Tribbles. Roasted, Baked, or Alive on a stick with a mug of Bloodwine.
