Default What if the Narada came thru and never ran into the Kelvin?

What would have happened to the timeline even though Nero had the same intentions to do what he did in the movie?

Well... he'd still have to wait twenty-five years before he could get his hands on some red matter, because Spock brought it through on his ship, so that's one thing. He might go on a random killing spree in his shiny ship, I guess?

^^^
That's my take on it too. He'd simply take out every Federation ship he'd come across, regardless if it was Starfleet or civilian.

Perhaps Federation Starship based tech would be more primitve.

if the narada never encountered the kelvin, that means the movie would have started differently

they would have sought out the nearest ship or settlement, to get the info they needed about where they were.

George Kirk would have survived and Jim would have entered the Academy at 18 instead of 22. would have been a lieutenant on the Farragut and died at Vulcan.

The Narada didn't just encounter the Kelvin. The Kelvin picked up the anomaly and went to that region of space to investigate. If they hadn't, Kirk's history may have been the prime timeline history.

I like to think of it the way Spock explained it in City on the Edge. Time is fluid with eddy's and currents. The Kelvin and the Narada were destined to meet and things unfolded as they were meant to.

the space-time continuim attempting to limit the damage you mean by ensuring Kirk would face Nero again and stop him?

If the Narada hadn't met the Kelvin then chaos probably would have happened, nero would have hunted down any ship federation or not to find out the star date, this chaos would have lead ships other than the Kelvin or ships other than federation ships to hunt down the Narada altering the timeline of other races.
