Yeah, that bit was good. Thought it was a bit weird we saw Kirk in the chair before he actually took command a bit later though.

I like McCoys - 'I like him', about Spock. Also the energy and choreography of the hangar scene - Kirk and McCoy, crossing paths beside the parallel Spock/Uhura parts and the sheer number of injections Kirk ended up with.

even though we heard Kirk Prime use "colorful metaphors" in Trek's IV and V, there was just something about the way young Jimmy used that excremental expletive that just made you wanna hit the ground laughing.
