Question The "47's" - Possibe Easter Egg?

Don't know if it was deliberate on the part of the writers, but did anyone notice that the number of Klingon ships said to have been destroyed was 47 ?
Which is a number that cropped up a lot over TNG and DS9 whenever a 'random' number was used in a script. Apparently at a convention once, Ronald D. Moore revealed that one of the other writers tried to insert 47 into every script they wrote!

Deliberate.
At the Iowa construction site was another 47 too (on the sign).

47 also crops up in the abramsverse as well - in 'Alias' in particular it had relevance to the Rambaldi story and a couple other things.

"47 is 42, corrected for inflation" referring to 42 being "the answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe, and Everything"

47...
1947, Rosewell, NM... Aliens, Area 51...
That is where Ron Moore got the idea back in the TNG days.

47's a neat Trek meme. It's nicely hidden sometimes, too - like Harry Kim's apartment on Earth, which is room 4G (G is the 7th letter of the alphabet), or in the battle scene in First Contact when the audio reports "96 dead, 22 wounded on the Lexington" (96-22=74, an anagram of 47).

There're too many uses of "47" to list them all, but it's become a neat inside joke.

Hmmm. Yeah, the year is 47, but the area isn't it's 51.

(which brings up the point - wouldn't there be areas 1-50 somewhere?)
