I don't remember I haven't seen the episode in awhile "Court Martial" I think it was called.

It was meant as kind of a joke.

Man - you are a fleet admiral on this board - and you don't know about Finney? - for shame.

According to the original series episode "Court Martial" this could have happened. - but it was meant to be a joke.

Maybe this time Finney didn't leave the circuit open to the atomic matter piles, and he gets his own ship later in his career. I did feel sorry for the guy, it doesn't justify what he did, but still.
