I have a 24" x 36" poster titled " Federation Starship Recognition Chart " that is probably from around the time of Star Trek III ( because it has Excelsior on it ).
This poster has a 2D silhouette of a ship that has a deflector nacelle on top and warp nacelle on bottom. Since it is 2D I can't tell whether it has ONE or TWO warp nacelles, but I will assume it has one. The caption for the ship is... Pytheas Class -- MKIII/01 Light Cruiser. http://www.shipschematics.net/startr...er_pytheas.jpg While this link looks similar to the ship on my poster, there are some differences. The warp nacelle is a bit further back on my poster and the one in the link is closer to the saucer, so the link DOES have TWO warp nacelles. This one is close... http://www.shipschematics.net/startr...ate_nelson.jpg Last edited by jevans64 : 05-18-2009 at 09:20 PM. |

It's clear, the U.S.S. Kelvin was high class. I never heard any distinction given in extraneous materials, but maybe I just glossed over it.
