Default Nero's Eyes???

Did anyone notice his eyes when they had a closeup of his face right before Ayel alerted him they were at the coordinates where Old Spock would come thru the rift? They were very dingy severely bloodshot brown looking with no white and kind of gross. He looked like he was in a trance.

I actually did notice that. They reminded me of reptile eyes, like crocodile eyes, with the two eye lids. Creepy!

I think that the bloodshot appearance was in part because of the contacts put in the actor's (Bana's) eyes for effect. I'm not sure it was entirely intended, but it was, indeed, creepy.

I noticed they were creepily jet black and kind of unnerving. I love that scene, though.

I didnt notice. But following your discription, wasnt it said in one episode of TOS that Vulcans have an inner eyelid? Could it be Orci and Kurtzman had that in mind? I dont know if that can serve as an explanation, because as I said I didnt notice something strange.
