I thought it was quite interesting they make use of the Alternate Universe explanation in that episode too. Leonard Nimoy plays William Bell, Walter Bishops' former pupil and lab assistant, founder of Massive Dynamic, a multi-billion dollar research and development corporation on the cutting edge of advanced technology, run by Nina Sharp.

I thought it was awesome. I loved how we heard his voice first but didn't see his face. I went through the "Wait... Is that... OMG... Really!?" moment just before we saw who it was. Who could possibly be better suited to portray an over the top scientific genius than the original!

I absolutely LOVED it. And yes, I thought it was interesting that they also used the alternate universe premise.
After the scene between Bell and Olivia was over, I was thinking to myself: "I sincerely hope that Anna Torv fully realizes what an honour it is to be playing opposite this great actor and man. ![]()
